first family feels
Feeling all the feels.
Yesterday I had my last visit with my first ever family. Bittersweet.
It was such an honour to support you @j_ee_tu over the last few months. For you to open your home to me and trust me to care for your daughter while you welcomed a new life into the world, to share your worries and stories with me, to support your in this special (but challenging at times) part of your life, was a real honour.
I have enjoyed our chats, unpacking all things baby and motherhood, your honesty, our laughs, hanging out with your children, making you food, learning about your culture, and about you ..and through serving you, I’ve also learned a lot about myself.
You are a wonderfully kind and giving force of nature; an amazing mother and partner. You have big dreams that I know you’ll chase. Most of all, you are doing an amazing job. Everyday and always.
A few few blurry instant photos and a few keepers. Sips of chai, laughs and chats. A perfect way to call it a day.
There will always be a special place in my heart for you all. I guess there’s just something about a first.
